A Mother and Child
A young teenage girl arrives at a remote hospital from a nearby village seeking assistance in delivering her first child. The teenager is severely underweight and under-nourished. While the baby is not considered premature, the birth weight of the baby is only three pounds. To make matters even worse, the young mother is unable to provide enough milk to support the newborn infant.
